After a lovely couple of days in St Malo we set off this morning in a north-easterly direction and had a very pleasant sail up to Iles Chausey, a little cluster of islands and rocks about 15 miles away.
We poked our nose into the main channel where there are some visitor buoys but they were already quite busy and we didn’t fancy rafting up. Some of them were also in rather shallow water given that we’re just past springs and we wouldn’t want to go aground on all those rocks so headed back out again to anchor in a nearby bay by the main island of Grande Ile.
It seems like a popular place for day trippers with a long queue on the quay for the vedettes back to the mainland.
