After setting off from Saint Quay Portrieux we once again had to start by motorsailing into a foul tide and headwind. After a while we were able to bear away and were soon charging along at 8 knots in a stiff northerly breeze and the miles ticked off until by 5pm we were approaching the ramparts of the lovely old walled city of St Malo.
This is one of our favourite places in this part of the world and we’re looking forward to spending a couple of nights here.
